Cyber-criminal’s prime target will be the iPhone in the year 2008 . Arbor Networks disclosed that major cyber-criminals will target iPhone in the calendar year 2008.  The ASERT(full form is Arbor’s Security and Engineering Response Team), who have jointly made the prediction; feels that majority of cyber-criminals will target the iPhone, and the it will be the sufferer of a severe hit. These attacks are like malware - implanted into apparently undamaging information, pictures or various other medium that may actually execute hazardous proceedings when provider on the internet browser of iPhone. With the study that the iPhone has acknowledged since its launch in earlier part of the year over network lock-in, ASERT considers that cyber-criminals will be attracted by the opportunity of attacking Apple iPhone users and the opportunity to “be the first” to hack a new stage.

ASERT has also forecasted a rise in ‘Chinese on Chinese’ Cybercrime. In the previous year the team has witnessed a theatrical increase in the attention paid towards Chinese-language based specific software like QQ Messenger and a large amount of malware samples paying attention on thieving end user’s identification. Arbor expects this trend to increase highly in current year as more more programs are written for the market and Chinese cyber-criminals become more and more stylish and organized.

The ASERT believes that the Storm botnet is another susceptibility that will be prevalent in current year. Even though the Storm botnet was silent for a little time, there are still numerous infected Personal Computers all over the world.

Spammers are extremely provoked by monetary gains and are not scared to push hi-tech restrictions to increase new assaults. Arbor predicts an attack that will darken the storm worm susceptibility that reasoned havoc in the year 2007 and in the current year we will witness a much superior, but related (spam)

“The previous year (2007) was the era of the browser abuse, the data violation, maleware, spyware and the worms. The current year (2008) is expected to be the time of the iPhone assault, the Chinese Cyber-criminals, Peer to Peer spammers and the take over of the worm Storm botnet,” said by Jose Nazario who is the senior engineer at ASERT. “Online scams are elevated and security assaults are now being used in innumerable and ever classier ways to both whip and washout money. Fiscal and other top secret data is getting acquired, traded and exploited in the highly developed black cyber market. In this year (2008) this market will carry on to cultivate and it is significant that business executes the processes and technology compulsory to defend them and their valuable clients.”
