UnlockAppleIphone.com - Hackers have successfully cracked the Simlock of the iPhone 3G. After the crack the Iphone can also be used with other telecoms providers than the official suppliers in each country.

The iPhone Dev Team published on the first day of 2009 a 0.9.4 beta test version of the program yellowsn0w a 3G sim unlock application. Iphone users could use this to remove the simlock of the Iphone 3G. Officially, the iPhone is in most countries only aviable in combination with a subscription to one or more specific telecommunication providers.

Cat and mouse
Since the introduction of the first iPhone manufacturer Apple and worldwide hackers play a cat-and-mouse game around Iphone’s simlock protection. So far, Apple updates are often able to undo cracking software, but hackers invent in short time a new trick.

The first generation of the iphone was already cracked, but now also the new iPhone 3G. So-called “jail break” is necessary to carry out the simlock removal.

Variable results so far

So if you are looking for the important files and system needs to get on with the Pwnage process, there’s some much needed prerequisites posted to make the process easier than you thought.

Prior to starting out, you should know that the iPhone 3G has not yet been unlocked. Es, you heard that right. Truth is the Pwnage process will not unlock your 3G iPhone, doesn’t matter how much effort you put into it. Here’s the fine print, this system will help you jailbreaking but certainly not unlock it. Nevertheless it will open up your Iphone for other providers.

Before we start to jailbreak your Iphone 3g or 2.0 you first read the following:

System requirements you’ll need:

• Windows XP or Windows Vista
• .NET Framework 2.0 or later iTunes 7.7

If you want to Jailbreak your iPhone or iPod Touch, then you have 3 common choices on how to do it:

1) Ziphone
2) iLiberty +
3) Pwnage/Winpwn

Ziphone is the most popular, but is known to some times not work on Windows XP (but that’s very rare). I recommend Ziphone to all Windows Vista users, for Mac users iLiberty or Ziphone is the best. The reason I do not recommend pwnage or winpwn is because it is still in beta testing and you could brick or mess up you iPod/iphone. 7) Your Done

If you exerience problems with your Jailbroken (PWNED) iPod or iPhone just plug it in to iTunes and click “Restore”
